Chief Financial Officer
Jill Stelfox is Binary Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Development, leading all functions related to finance and accounting, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and office management , while also establishing the systems and capacities required to support company growth.
With more than 20 years experience building and leading innovative companies, Ms. Stelfox excels in envisioning a business strategy and establishing systems for successful and profitable implementation. An accomplished financial manager, Ms. Stelfox is experienced in all aspects of contract management and cost accounting, including the execution of contract agreements, oversight of contract expenditures, and the delivery of contract project and budget reports.
Prior to joining Binary, Ms. Stelfox was the CEO, Co-Founder and Chairman of Defywire, a wireless technology company, providing real-time safety solutions to public and private schools. Before launching Defywire, Ms. Stelfox was an owner, CFO and Director of Mobile & Wireless at Noblestar Systems, a professional services firm. Ms. Stelfox spearheaded Noblestar’s substantial growth including an expanded international presence both organically and through several acquisitions.
Ms. Stelfox also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Netafim Irrigation of North America, where she developed and implemented the company’s strategic plan, along with business re-engineering initiatives. Ms. Stelfox spent six years as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche, providing audit, tax and advisory services to privately held, fast growing and turn-around companies.
A successful entrepreneur and respected leader in the technology sphere, Ms. Stelfox is a mom, a leader in her community, a philanthropist, and an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist. She currently serves as a Board Member for Inova Health Care Systems, Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital, and Helping Children Worldwide, and is a past Board Member of the Center for Innovation and Technology GAP Investment fund and the George Mason School of Management.
Ms. Stelfox holds a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting from California State University and an inactive CPA from the State of California.
